The Basin Rambler

Sundays 20th and 27th of July and 3rd and 10th of August 2008

This is a free service provided by the group to everybody. It runs between the Caledonian Railway (Brechin) Limited's Bridge of Dun Station, The National Trusts House of Dun, The Montrose Air Station Heritage Centre, The Scottish Wildlife Trust Basin Visitor Centre, Montrose High Street and Montrose Railway Station. The Group utilises vehicles which it has with current MOT certificates and this year should include XSA 620 and RRM 634X with the possibility of others.

This service is entirely funded by the members of the Angus Transport Group and does not cost its passengers a penny!

The group have been providing this service for a number of years and every year passenger numbers grow and grow. The service brings back memories to many people who, went to school, work or just travelled on buses similar to ours. Children enjoy the experience as its part of history and something that they may not normally travel on.

We aim to reduce the amount of people using their cars in Angus by offering them this alternative transport around the major tourist attractions in and around Montrose.
